The ToySafe Story

ToySafe was founded on a simple belief:
Better technology should make childhood safer — not riskier.

Like many meaningful innovations, ToySafe began with a deeply personal question.

Founder Joe Fida, now a proud father, began looking at the everyday environment’s children interact with — toys, learning materials, shared spaces — and saw something others often overlook constant, invisible exposure to germs.

Sprays, wipes, and harsh chemicals were the standard.
But they came with strong odors, residue, and instructions that didn’t feel aligned with environments built for children.

So, he asked a simple question:
Why are we using solutions around children that don’t feel safe enough for everyday play?

That question became the foundation of ToySafe and led to the creation of the ToyVault

Our Approach

ToySafe was built to create a safer, simpler way to sanitize — without liquids, harsh chemicals, or added complexity.

Using advanced cold plasma technology, ToySafe delivers effective pathogen reduction in a contained, easy-to-use system designed specifically for high-touch items in childcare environments.

From toys and sensory tools to shared learning materials, ToySafe works quietly in the background — supporting cleaner spaces without interrupting the flow of play.

Our Mission

To combine science and care
to make children’s environments
cleaner, safer, and easier to maintain — every day.

Our Vision

We believe protecting children’s environments should never come at the cost of safety, time, or simplicity.

ToySafe is redefining how childcare spaces approach

hygiene by:

  • Reducing microbial risk on shared items

  • Supporting educators with simple, consistent solutions

  • Minimizing exposure to harsh chemicals

  • Creating safer environments for children, families, and staff

Our Promise

Every ToySafe product begins with one standard:

If it isn’t safe enough for children, it isn’t good enough.
