Meet Joe Fida —

Founder, Engineer, and Proud New Father

Joe Fida is the founder and driving force behind ToySafe, where advanced engineering meets a deep commitment to protecting children’s environments. With a background in chemical engineering and recognition from Forbes 30-Under-30 and EY Entrepreneur of the Year, Joe has built his career on transforming complex science into practical solutions that make everyday life safer, cleaner, and simpler.

Today, that mission is more personal than ever. As a proud new father to a baby girl, Joe’s perspective on safety and hygiene has evolved beyond innovation — it’s about creating environments where children can explore, learn, and play without unnecessary risk.

This belief led to the development of ToySafe’s cold plasma sanitization technology — a chemical-free, battery-powered solution designed specifically for high-touch items in early childhood settings. Joe understands that “clean” isn’t just about appearance — it’s about protection, trust, and peace of mind for families and educators alike.

Known for his hands-on leadership and relentless attention to detail, Joe continues to push ToySafe forward with one guiding principle: better design creates safer spaces for the people who matter most.

Meet Chrissy Knight —

Founder, and Proud New Mother

Chrissy Knight is the co-founder and strategic voice behind ToySafe, where thoughtful communication and real-world problem solving help shape safer environments for children. With more than 10 years of experience working across both the U.S. and Canadian markets, Chrissy has built her career around business development, communications, and understanding the day-to-day challenges organizations face.

Throughout her career, she has worked across multiple industries and understands the operational pressures buyers and teams experience — from limited time and staffing demands to the growing need for practical, reliable hygiene solutions. At ToySafe, Chrissy helps guide the company’s messaging, partnerships, and overall direction, ensuring every solution stays connected to the real needs of childcare and early learning environments.

Today, that mission is especially meaningful to her as a proud mother. Seeing the world through the lens of parenthood has reinforced her belief that children deserve spaces where they can safely explore, learn, and play without unnecessary exposure to harsh chemicals or inconsistent sanitization practices.

That perspective helped shape ToySafe’s approach to cold plasma sanitization technology — a chemical-free, battery-powered solution designed to make hygiene simpler, safer, and more manageable for busy childcare teams.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and genuine passion for helping others, Chrissy continues to help move ToySafe forward with one simple belief: better solutions create safer spaces for children, families, and the people who care for them every day.
